Playing in the Woods

Image
Aiden was so happy to be outside in the woods.  He said it made him happier than at his birthday party.  He loved the leaves and the trees and all the colors.  He was running around exclaiming, "This is the most wonderfulest wonderfulness!"  I told him it's a gift to be able to appreciate beauty to that extent. The boys are inspecting a mushroom.

This is the cake I made for Aiden.  I don't have very good cake decorating skills, but he really loved it.  He was the one who put the candles on.  In this picture you get to play "Where's Waldo", except you have to find my mom and Ethan.  My dad is in the picture too, but his face is blocked.  I was watching Aiden's game from one side of the field and I suddenly noticed that my parents and Ethan were on the other side.  Aiden and his friend in the balls.  I didn't get very many good pictures of the kids playing.  Another one of Aiden's good friends.  Here's all the kids in the room.

There was a really fun play area for the kids at the zoo.  It was really fun, but hard to get the kids to move on to something else. The leopard was pacing around in there and it was really fun to see one close up and so active. The kids got to feel a snake. Yuck! We took the bus up 16th street. Aiden is trying to be relaxed so he can win the game.  Whoever is most relaxed is able to move the ball over to the other person's side.  Chris tried not to relax while Aiden tried to relax, and Chris still won somehow. This simulated bike ride was Aiden's favorite thing and he kept wanting to come back to it.  It had a screen where it makes you feel like you are riding on some terrain and you can race the other "bikers" in the exhibit. Here you could look into your hand and see your veins.  It was fun moving my arm down and watching the veins get bigger as you get closer to the top of my arm. Judd told me this is how the whole museum...
