We also spent a few days in Disneyland.  I thought everyone had fun, but the kids are definitely not as young as they used to be, and it was apparent that it just wasn't the same this year when Aiden hardly noticed a chipmunk who was so playfully trying to get his attention. I think he may have just been tired since it was on our third day.  I think the ultimate age for kids at Disneyland is between 3 and 6 because once they turn 9, they are too cool for all the magic.  (I'm crying inside now.) We had three fun-packed days.  The parks were pretty quiet.  On our third day I thought everything was ruined because we waited for early entry at the Monorail station only to learn 5 minutes after we were supposed to embark that the monorail would be delayed 15 minutes.  We quickly left the line and ran to the main entrance of Disneyland and then ran straight to Fantasyland.  At that time we learned that half the rides there were closed due to wet weathe...

A couple days on the beach was fun.  There was a fun hamburger place at the end of the pier which the boys loved.  The air in the evening was really cold, but there were always surfers with wet suits in the water, even in the dark! Our hotel was across the street from the beach.  We spent the morning just chilling.  Ethan definitely preferred being in the water while Aiden preferred to play in the sand.
